"With [Jehovah] there is not a variation of the turning of the shadow" (James 1:17)

This fundamental truth about Jehovah is truly a source of comfort and strength for us, especially when we face difficult trials and challenges. Why? Because Jehovah is unchanging and true to his word; hence, his worshippers today have every reason to trust in him to "help them and provide them with escape." (Psalm 37:40) No amount of satanic opposition will ever prevent Jehovah's Witnesses from giving Jehovah the exclusive worship that he deserves. God's Word assures us: "Any weapon whatever that will be formed against you will have no success, and any tongue at all that will rise up against you in the judgement you will condemn." (Isaiah 54:17) Opposers have tried but failed to prevent God's people from carrying out their commission to preach.
(Watchtower issue: 9/15/08, 2:1-3)

This is the aspect of our ministry that always impresses me the most...because when you read the experiences of some of our brothers and sisters who've persevered in their service to Jehovah, while being subjected to the most extreme persecution and prolonged opposition, you wonder to yourself: "how on earth could anyone endure those things for so long and not cave in from the pressure and give up?"
It would be impossible without God's support and strength, especially since the majority of Jehovah's Witnesses have never been 'toughened up' by any type of extreme bootcamp training like Marines and Navy Seals get, in order to resist enemy opposition and physical hardships and deprivation. They are just normal, average people,...including frail, chronically ill Witnesses, elderly ones, and children.

Yet history testifies to the fact that there is literally NOTHING which has ever been able to stop the preaching work from continuing. So there's no reason for us to worry whenever we are faced with similar opposition...(whether it's big or small)...because Jehovah has literally *promised* that he will help us to endure it.
