*Ministry Reminders*

-Today (September 1st) begins the 2010 Service Year, and the Governing Body meets tomorrow morning in that regard. So don't forget to say a prayer in their behalf (which I forget sometimes) but Paul reminds the congregations to do that at: (2 Thessalonians 3:1, 2)

"Finally, brothers, carry on prayer for us, that the word of Jehovah may keep moving speedily and being glorified...and that we may be delivered from harmful and wicked men."

and speaking of moving speedily, did you notice how they added 7 more languages to the website? So it's up to 383 now. The brothers & sisters in the translation department sure don't let grass grow under their feet! Also, I think I'm gonna focus the next few experiences on some of the life stories of the current members of the Governing Body, and also extra info about how work is delegated among the different departments at Bethel, etc...which is nice to know...especially for anyone who hasn't had the opportunity to tour the branch facilities at Brooklyn, to see how things are run. It's been quite a few years since I've been there myself, but my mom went with some friends not too long ago so I'll post some of her photos coming up. (they even have a pretty rooftop garden now!) =)

And since it's now officially September and the beginning of the 2010 Service Year, here's a mini refresher of points we should remember in the ministry.
The 4 main teaching methods Jesus used:

1. Simplicity
2. Effective use of questions
3. Logical reasoning
4. Fitting illustrations
